Day 8 @ CGI Coonawarra

SUNDAY: Campers woke up today to the second week of CGI. Bunks Aleph and Beis were up bight and early, davening their last Shacharis in CGI '74. The campers bid their teary farewells to those remaining in camp, and boarded the bus back to Melbourne.
Moving on to the rest of camp, learning classes and activities continued as normal. Today, we were priveliged to make a visit to the Yeshivas Kaytiz Zal, and catch the Bochurim in action, shtayging away in Perek Haboneh of Mesechto Shabbos.
Winners of Shabbos Competion of the Primary Division were Bunk Yud Aleph, who will be treated to a special Shabbos Competition Trip/Prize in the very near future.
Towards the later afternoon, campers lines-up to daven Mincha, and then boarded five buses for the second trip of CGI 74 - Bairsndale Aquatic Centre. A short half hour bus ride later, campers were (or are, as this post is being written) happily enjoying the waves and ripples of the Bairsndale Aquatic Centre. Despite torrential rainfall outside, a BBQ is currently underway. Stay posted for updates!






















Shabbos in CGI

Shabbos in CGI was a truly enjoayble experiance for all. A beutiful Shacharis was held in the Primary Division, with different Zechusim being raffled off for lines of Tanya by heart, and many a counsellor were honoured with Aliyos, Hagbeh, etc.
Kiddush was made, followed by the campers eating the cakes they had baked on Friday, and then a short break, followed by the division, sitting down to an enjoyable Seudas Shabbos.
A Mishnayos Baal Peh event was held in the late afternoon, with many campers learning new material and revising over things that they already knew.
A goodbye ceremony was held for the Campers of Bunks Aleph and Beis that were to be departing the next morning, and there were some dry eyes, but there were also a few wet ones present.
After שלש סעודות, and a lengthy chanting of "We Want Goomba", the Bochurim of Yeshivas Kayitz displayed an enjoyable Goomba, imitating various aspects of the week bygone of camp. Shabbos was wrapped up with a short Seder Niggunim, and then Maariv and Havdolah.
Campers of Bunks Aleph and Beis packed their belongings, and readied themselves for the bus ride home the following day.
