Day 12 @ CGI Coonawarra - COLOUR WAR (part 1)

THURSDAY: CGI woke up today to Colour War '74! The day began with a line-up of the two teams of "Rebbe" and "Chossid". Ran by Levi Karp, the line-up was a very chayusdik'e one, with campers from both teams being called up to say Pesukim. A liveley Shacharis followed, with points being earned by both teams. Breakfast, then cleanup (a few more ponts), and then... "MBP wins the war!". An intense one hour Mishnayos Baal Peh session was held in the dining room, where campers on both teams were given a small quota of Mishnayos to learn by heart. The team that had every camper finish the quota before the designated time received extra points. Follwing MBP was a special shiur from Camp Director Moshe Kahn, who spoke about what a Rebbe is and wahat a Chossid is.
The first activity of the day was a series of five relay races. Campers enjoyed competitive games, with each team earning more points.

Day 11 @ CGI Coonawarra - COLOUR WAR!

WEDNESDAY: The halfway point of the second week of CGI Coonawarra 5774 was an exciting day for the High School Division. In honour of Moshe Wajsbort's recent Bar-Mitzvah, a surprise celebration was prepared for him by the Staff and Campers of the High School division.
In Primary, campers enjoyed another day of great activities, and learning of Hilchos Shabbos. Just after dinner, after a series of "fake-outs", Colour War 5774 was broken out, much to the campers' delight. The two teams, "Rebbe" and "Chossid", were chosen in line with the upcoming day of Yud Shevat, a day that focuses heavily on the Rebbe-Chossid relationship. Breif skits(/"scavengers") were prepared by either team, and presented before the camp and three ColourWar judges. fter the campers were put to sleep, staff members worked into the early hours of the morning preparing for tomorrows big day of Colour War.
